Stefani C. O'Connor, Editor-in-Chief at Questex Hospitality Group, is an award-winning journalist. She brings more than 20 years’ industry experience to Hotel Management. Most recently, O’Connor served as Executive News Editor at Hotel Business magazine as well as Managing Editor of the magazine's National Executive Roundtable Series, which, with support of such partners as The Wall Street Journal, brought together executives from the hospitality arena and allied businesses to discuss current issues of importance. Prior to joining Hotel Business, O'Connor was Senior Editor at Business Travel News and previous to that was Editor-in-Chief of Hotel & Resort Industry magazine.
O’Connor also has brought her expertise to numerous venues, serving as a panelist and moderator across a range of national conferences, including the New York University International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference, Hunter Hotel Investment Conference, The Lodging Conference and the National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators and Developers (NABHOOD) Summit.
Sunil B. Patel is principal of Tennessee-based DSA Enterprises and currently AAHOA Mid-South Regional Director. His company portfolio includes hotel brands from Best Western Hotels & Resorts, Choice Hotels International, G6 Hospitality, Red Roof Inn and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, as well as an independent property.
The Walsall, England native earned a degree in accounting from Middle Tennessee State University.
Active in community service, he has participated as: president of the Gujarat Cultural Association in Nashville, Tenn.; president of Leuva Patidar Samaj of USA; president of the Tennessee Business Association; an AAHOA director at large as well as on numerous AAHOA committees.

Chuck Pinkowski is the founder of Memphis, Tenn.-based Pinkowski & Company, which provides consulting services on a national basis to individuals, private investment groups, financial institutions, hotel companies and law firms vis-à-vis the hospitality industry. This consultation includes development planning, investment analysis, market feasibility work, chain/brand evaluations and litigation assignments for a variety of issues and includes all types of lodging facilities, from select-service hotels to destination resorts, public-assembly facilities, and unique and mixed-use developments.
In addition, for more than 15 years, Pinkowski & Company, together with the Metropolitan Memphis Hotel and Lodging Association, has presented the Southern Lodging Summit, which addresses issues of planning, development, marketing and operations.
Pinkowski is the founding chairman of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants and an advisory board member and frequent speaker for the Americas Lodging Investment Summit and The Hunter Hotel Investment Conference. He is actively involved in the American Hotel and Lodging Association and is a board member of the Tennessee Hospitality and Tourism Association and the Metropolitan Memphis Hotel and Lodging Association, among other groups.
Jeff Stephenson is vice president/franchise development U.S. for G6 Hospitality, LLC. He leads the expansion efforts for Motel 6 and Studio 6 throughout the United States. Since joining G6, he has helped grow the brands by more than 650 locations.
Stephenson joined G6 Hospitality in 2015 as managing director of franchise development and has more than 20 years’ of hotel experience, including operations, franchise operations and franchise development. He previously served with Red Roof Inn and Accor.
Headquartered in Carrollton, Texas, G6 Hospitality, LLC owns, operates and franchises more than 1,400 economy lodging locations currently under the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands in the United States and Canada and the Hotel 6 brand in India. G6 also has plans to franchise the Hotel 6 and Estudio 6 brands in Central America.
Andrew Hartley is a senior consultant for CBRE Hotels’ Consulting based in the New York City office. With more than 10 years in the hospitality industry, he has provided market and financial services for all types of real estate projects and specializes in market and financial feasibility analysis for projects that include hotels and conference centers, non-branded boutique hotels, oil- and gas-related hotels and luxury hotels throughout the Northeast and South Central region of the United States.
Hartley previously was a consultant with PKF Consulting USA, which was acquired by CBRE in 2014 and also has served as an assistant manager/trainer for the Hilton University of Houston.
