Mark Ricketts is president/COO of Germantown, Tenn.-based McNeill Hotel Co., which develops, owns/operates, third-party and asset manages branded and independent hotels.
Prior to joining the company, Ricketts spent seven years as VP/hotel asset management in the realty management division of Goldman Sachs in Irving, TX, where he provided oversight for a portfolio of more than 300 properties that spanned 10 brands and 27 flags while working with nearly 20 management companies.
Ricketts has nearly 35 years of hospitality industry experience, starting as a hotel general manager at age 23. He previously worked as VP/asset management for Equity Inns, Inc., a publicly traded hotel REIT acquired by Goldman Sachs. Prior to Equity Inns, Ricketts served as VP/hotel operations for Memphis, Tenn.-based Master Hospitality Services.
Ricketts serves on the Home2 Suites by Hilton Owner Advisory Council and the Hampton Brand Operations Council and is a past member of the Hyatt Place Operations Advisory Committee. He also has served on the board of directors for both the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau and Memphis Hotel & Lodging Association.
David Eisen is director of hotel intelligence and customer solutions, Americas for HotStats, a monthly profit-and-loss data benchmarking platform. He is responsible for business-development activity and developing content marketing strategies to drive HotStats’ brand awareness.
Prior to joining HotStats, Eisen served as Editor-in-Chief of the Questex Hospitality Group, which includes Hotel Management magazine. His responsibilities included overseeing content direction for the magazine and website, and leading content creation for events and conferences under the Questex umbrella. Prior to Questex, he was hotel editor at Business Travel News.
Eisen has a master's degree in hospitality industry studies from New York University’s Jonathan M. Tisch Center for Hospitality and Tourism. He frequently participates on panels and roundtable discussions on myriad global hospitality industry trends and topics.
Jeff Stephenson is vice president/franchise development U.S. for G6 Hospitality, LLC. He leads the expansion efforts for Motel 6 and Studio 6 throughout the United States. Since joining G6, he has helped grow the brands by more than 650 locations.
Stephenson joined G6 Hospitality in 2015 as managing director of franchise development and has more than 20 years’ of hotel experience, including operations, franchise operations and franchise development. He previously served with Red Roof Inn and Accor.
Headquartered in Carrollton, Texas, G6 Hospitality, LLC owns, operates and franchises more than 1,400 economy lodging locations currently under the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands in the United States and Canada and the Hotel 6 brand in India. G6 also has plans to franchise the Hotel 6 and Estudio 6 brands in Central America.
Steve Van is president/CEO of Dallas, TX-based Prism Hotels & Resorts, which he founded in 1983 and developed into an award-winning, full-service hotel management, investment and advisory services company.
Van began his hotel career as EVP/Criswell Development Co., where he developed the Hyatt Regency Austin, Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center and the Hyatt West Houston. His first independent purchase was The Melrose Hotel in Dallas, which his Prism team turned into the first Omni franchise.
Van currently serves on a number of industry boards, including the Hilton Doubletree Hotel Owner’s Advisory Council. He earned his bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas, attended The University of Texas Law School and was admitted to the state bar.
Van has served as the assistant attorney general of Texas and as a director of the Texas Turnpike Authority.
Since 2008 he has been a founding director of AHMSA, a non-profit organization based in Bogota, Columbia, to teach internal refugees entrepreneurial skills.
Since its founding, Prism Hotels & Resorts has managed more than 300 hotels across the United States, including brand product from Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Marriott International and numerous independents.
