Bhavesh Patel, Immediate Past Chairman, AAHOA
Bvavesh Patel is a principal of ADM Hotels, a family-owned, full-service real estate company that specializes in hospitality management, development and investments. Its portfolio features branded and independent hotel properties concentrated in the northeastern United States, with additional properties in development over the next 18 months.
He also is immediate past chairman of AAHOA (Asian American Hotel Owners Association). An association member since 1994, he previously served as AAHOA’s Regional Director for the Mid-Atlantic region. A native of London, England, Patel moved with his family to the United States in 1976. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Finance in 1990 from York College of Pennsylvania. He is a past president of community group Charotaria Leuva Patidar Seva Samaj and currently serves on its board of trustees. Patel also served as president of the Runnemede-Bellmawr-Glendora Rotary Club.
Jeff Kolessar, Senior Vice President of Development, GF Management
Jeffrey Kolessar is SVP/Development and Acquisition for Philadelphia, Penna.-based GF Management, a 30-year-old hospitality ownership and management company that specializes in hotels and resorts, conference centers, catering facilities, golf courses and other related hospitality assets. He is responsible for hotel acquisitions, dispositions, receiverships, asset management and new development for hospitality properties throughout the United States. He also negotiates franchise agreements, assists lenders in the sale of hotels and oversees third-party management contracts.
Kolessar joined GF Management in 1990 as a regional controller and since 1995, he has acted as a receiver for hotel properties, structured hotel management deals, served in receiverships and workouts, and has evaluated more than 500 hotel properties for financial institutions. The executive has been involved in projects that included resorts, conference centers, full- and select-service hotels, food and beverage establishments and golf courses, as well as more than 250 receivership assignments, being personally named receiver on more than 120 assignments.
Kolessar also serves as a speaker and panelist at industry events and is a member of such groups as the Turnaround Management Association and the Hunter Hotel Advisory Council.
Daniel C. Hanrahan, Director, CBRE Hotels
Daniel C. Hanrahan II is a New York-based director of CBRE Hotels Advisory, covering the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. His more than 40 years’ of domestic and international experience includes strategic advisory services involving various commercial, retail, industrial, mixed-use, multi-family and vacant land projects throughout the United States for hotel owners, developers, public REITS, private equity firms, major hotel companies, municipalities, universities and public agencies. Hanrahan also has specialized in and provided advisory and valuation services to the lodging sector ranging from limited-service to all-inclusive resorts both in the U.S. and internationally.
He is fluent in market and economic feasibility, valuation, investment and operational analysis, strategic planning, buy-side due diligence, RFQ/RFP preparation, negotiation and selection process, financing advisory and litigation support. Previously, Hanrahan was an owner/founding partner of Pinnacle Advisory Group, and was a principal with Pannell Kerr Forster, the predecessor firm to PKF Consulting USA, which was acquired by CBRE in July 2014.
CBRE is a real estate services and investment firm that serves real estate investors and occupiers worldwide via a broad range of integrated services. CBRE Hotels is a specialized capital markets group within CBRE providing strategic advisory, investment sales, valuations and research services to companies in the hotel sector.
Kevin Brickner, Senior Vice President/Franchise Sales & Development NA, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts
Kevin Brickner is SVP/Franchise Sales and Development, North America for Parsippany, N.J.-based Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Inc., where he is responsible for creating and executing the sales strategy for the company’s lifestyle brands in the United States and Canada.
He joined Wyndham in 1992 from Abar Pension Services, and most recently served as VP/franchise sales and relicensing, responsible for the contracting process on new development, renewals and transfers of ownership for the company’s North American hotels. Prior to that, he held various roles in Wyndham’s predecessor, Cendant Hotel Group’s Finance department.
In 2007, Brickner was awarded the inaugural Wyndham Worldwide Chairman’s award, the company’s highest honor. He also received several internal commendations including the 2006 Excellence Award and Wyndham’s Unsung Hero 2002.
